We’ve had quite a bit of snow at Crane Lake the last few days. The first snow dropped 1.5 inches, then we received another 3 inches, last week 5 inches fell, and last night we got another 7 inches. That adds up to 16 1/2 inches! And it is still all on the ground – no melting around here.
This Pine Grosbeak could barely see over the top of the snow.
It’s deep but light and fluffy!
The Pine Grosbeaks have arrived in force. They are one bird you can rely on to show up in the winter to brighten our days. The Cardinal of The North!
