Another winter visitor to the Crane Lake area has arrived, the Common Redpoll. They look a lot like the Pine Siskins that are so prevalent right now, but the red cap and black chin differentiate the two species. And the males have a colorful red breast. When they first arrive they can be found feeding on the seeds of the Birch tree.
