These Evening Grosbeaks showed up the other morning.
You just never know when these guys are going to come in to the area. These two male Evening Grosbeaks were the only two birds of that species that visited the feeders the other morning. They were here for a little bit and then they were gone and did not return.
Last spring and summer there were several Evening Grosbeaks that spent the season here at Crane Lake. I would hear their calls around town and I even saw them courting each other. They would flutter their wings at each other and I saw a male feeding a female, it was so sweet. I’m sure they had some nests around the area.
