Ravens have fledged

Raven fledgling

The Ravens that nest every year on the cliffs by east bay have had a successful nesting this year. Three young Ravens are now out of the nest. They were seen on top of the cliff making a racket with their begging calls. This nest is in a unique location and has been used by Ravens for years, probably even decades. Once they find a good spot, Ravens will protect their territory year round.

(I took the above photo last year when the Ravens successfully raised only one chick – it was an extremely cold and snowy spring)
