Osprey Update – Sept 2, 2006

I have been trudging thru the swamp photographing the young Osprey for the past two weeks. The whole time I was in the area I only saw one Osprey at the nest. I started to wonder if the adults had abandoned their full grown chick and flown south already. I had had visions of rescuing the young Osprey and raising him at a re-hab center. This past Thursday as I went by the swamp in my car there were no birds on the nest. Well my worries were put at ease when in the afternoon I saw the juvenile bird and also an adult sitting in a nearby tree.
