This morning at the Vermilion Gorge Hiking Trail I saw my first Canada Warbler of the year. What a beautiful bird!
The Canada Warbler is appropriately named, unlike the Tennessee Warbler that I heard just down the trail. Wow, the Tennessee can really sing loud! Their song is a three parted warble that is breathtaking. The bird itself is rather drab so I guess he has to make up for it with his loud song. I hope this bird stays around to nest and raise some youngins’. Where did the name Tennessee Warbler come from?
