more on Vultures – August 27, 2006

I couldn’t figure out what the white spots were on the Turkey Vulture so I googled it. I found the Turkey Vulture Society and they had some very interesting information on their site. First of all the spots are white warts and the older the bird the more warts they have. Juveniles have none. So, I guess the photo here shows an older Turkey Vulture.
