Pine Grosbeak in Ash Tree

The Pine Grosbeaks have discovered the Ash tree. They love the seeds of this tree.

This morning a Gray Jay took a drink out of my bird bath, they are certainly getting civilized! I love these birds and why is it they have so many nicknames?
Canada Jay
Whiskey Jack
Timberjay
Lumberjack
Camp Robber
Any others?
It seems the Gray Jays’ visits to the suet feeder have slowed down a bit since deer hunting season has started. I think they are finding the deer camps more enticing these days.
