Evening Grosbeak, female
The female Evening Grosbeak in her muted gray colors is quite a beauty. I like the spring green color of her bill. Black and white wing feathers make Evening Grosbeaks look kind of like Goldfinches.
American Tree Sparrow
Here’s a better shot of the American Tree Sparrow. The bi-colored bill shows up pretty good in this photo.
That Eveing Grosbeak is gorgeous.
Thank you so much for this post, I was completely surprised by my “giant finch”. There were 2 of them here (ontario) drinking out of a low bird bath. They were both the same colour
