Echo and Myrtle are out

Echo Lake, about 10 miles south of Crane Lake, and Myrtle Lake, about 20 miles south of Crane, both lost their ice cover yesterday, March 31st. That’s got to be record early ice-out for those lakes – and that’s no April Fool’s Joke!
