Eastern Wood-Pewee

Two Eastern Wood-Pewees calling at the Vermilion River Gorge Trail

The second part of the audio has a juvenile Pewee just singing part of the song. I got to see him begging and fluttering his wings. The Eastern Wood-Pewee is a medium sized flycatcher, mostly heard and not seen. I love their plaintive pee-ooo-weeee. I think this bird was named appropriately: his name describes his call.
