Next time you are going to the Kettle Falls Hotel try out the Cruiser Lake Trails. At the very end of Mica Bay you will find the trail to Beast Lake. There’s a dock and an outhouse at the trailhead.
The short (.5 mile) Beast Lake Trail connects to the CRUISER LAKE TRAIL.
Hike portions of this 10 mile trail system or take a backpacking trip, the trail will take you north to Rainy Lake and the Anderson Bay Cliffs, or south to Kabetogama Lake. The trail meanders between the many small lakes in the Kabetogama Peninsula Wilderness where there are several backcountry campsites on the interior lakes. These trails are well marked and maintained. Fall is a great time to go hiking!
