Boy Scouts

Last Thursday the local Boy Scout troop took a walk with me on the Vermilion Gorge Trail. They wanted to learn about birds and bird song out in the field. We had a great time and ended up getting a few birds. We listened and saw: Winter Wren, Northern Parula, Magnolia Warbler, Mourning Warbler, Canada Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warbler. They were in wonder at how these tiny birds can have such huge voices. One scout pointed out a “buck-rub” on a small sapling – cool!
